Sylvie Coumel

Behavioural Scientist Independent Expert

Before joining Sanofi, I was the Head of public affairs and communications at the French Heart Foundation, partnering with policy makers, ministry of health and politics, to make CVD and emergency care recognized as priority public health issue with Ministry of Health then with ICN, WHO and UN. I’m particularly proud of having created the Connecting Nurses Program, a global initiative providing nurses with a platform for sharing best practices in nursing innovation and patient empowerment. Presented at TEDx 2013 and won multiple awards I have:

• Developed the Behavioral Science framework, enhancing patient engagement in clinical trials.
• Conducted research to better understand behavioral science mechanisms impacting patient adherence and empowerment.
• Collaborated with cross-functional teams to integrate behavioral science insights into clinical trial recruitment and retention.
